Stuart Chalk, PhD is a Professor of Chemical Informatics at the University of North Florida. Originally trained as an analytical chemist, over the last 15 years he has morphed into a cheminformatics and data scientist, working on research projects to develop data standards, digital research notebooks, scientific ontologies, and models scientific data representation. His current projects include: the integration of heterogeneous research data using the SciData scientific data model (SDM) and ontology (SDO) (NSF-funded project), semantic representation of chemical structure (FAIR Chemical Twins), digital research notebooks (using SciData and Blockchain) and FAIR Digital Objects (FDO) for use in chemistry. For this project, he will work on data standards to enable the integration of chemical structures and other data types with the PAC3R platform.
